WAVE (Worthington Armstrong Venture) is a joint venture between Armstrong World Industries, and Worthington Industries, formed in 1992 to manufacture suspended ceiling systems. Today, WAVE is a global leader in the industry. Both parent companies are US based, publicly traded, each with annual sales in excess of 3 billion US dollars.
WAVE manufactures and distributes steel angle and aluminum profiles, branded as Armstrong, all around the world. WAVE currently has manufacturing facilities located in; Maryland (US), Nevada (US), Michigan (US), Philadelphia (US), Georgia (US), France Valenciennes, Team Vally (UK),Style and close (UK), Shanghai and India. WAVE is headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia.
WAVE has a manufacturing plant in India at Village Takave, near Talegaon MIDC – 50 Km away from Pune, Maharashtra spread across 5 acres in an Industrial Zone.
The Plant has a 5000 Sq.Mtr. Built up area. WAVE India facility consists of 4 manufacturing lines in order to produce steel angles required for suspended ceiling. A steel angle manufacturing line is a continuous process that include steel strip decoilers and a high speed roll former used to make a profile and a modified brake press to stamp the tee and cut the end details. WAVE India distributes finished products directly to customers or through the Armstrong warehouses.
In 2014, WAVE has built about 1400 Sq. Mtr permanent structure for steel slitting equipped with the state-of-the-art steel slitting line. The purpose is to slit own material, and carry out toll process with spare capacity as well.
